Curt`s Family Restaurant in Markleysburg

It was good but I feel like it used to be great.

I had the western omelet, my husband had buckwheat pancakes, everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Sorry I didn't take photos.

Great homestyle cooking and baked goods. The pies are the best in this area and the service is the best.

This place has great food, great prices, and a wonderful staff. Inexpensive and has the best homemade dessert!! Highly recommend it here!!

Stopped here for a dinner with our kids. The food was just not great :( We wanted to like it, but the roast beef tasted very old and was tough, like it had cooked all day (or maybe the day before). My husband got a rueben that he said was decent, but the chips that came with it were stale. Our kids did love their bacon/pancakes but my sons hot dog was cold. I tasted it and it was very strongly seasoned like it had been sitting in sauerkraut. Which made sense since that was one of the specials of the day. Not an 11 month olds favorite flavor though! The desserts are EXCELLENT though. Definitely would recommend getting one of those :)The service was okay, not overly warm or friendly.

Awesome breakfast and the deserts look like they're to die for! super friendly staff and the place is huge. They work very hard here.

Very disappointing visit. We waited over 2 times longer to get our meals because we ordered an omelet and egg sandwich. They had no lemons for the iced tea and no mayonnaise for the sandwich. We ordered rolls vs toast. The waitress brought toast and then with her fingers removed it from on top of the omelet and later brought a roll to the table. The hash browns were literally black and the sandwich was cold. When the owner was approached she said we’d wait for any breakfast type food because they cater to dinner meals first.It was approximately 12:20 when we arrived. She did correct her wait staff that there were always condiments available The pies displayed on the board behind the register were not what was available. To top it off we were overcharged for the select items we did order. We are not seasonal customers. Normally visit at least 2-3 weekends a month

The rigatoni was super great and fine chopped coleslaw that I love. The rolls are as big as your hand and delicious.nice quiet place..clean and homey elegant.

*POOR* Service .Cold, Raw, Grilled Chicken. Will never return again. Rolls were good though.

I stop here every time we pass by. It's like eating at grandma's, the food is great, and the staff is so friendly. Grab a pie, or buckeyes, or cinnamon rolls to take home!

Love there pies and rolls... but wish they would have a better selection on the buffet.... ex: cabbage rolls, stuffed peppers, fried chicken, pot roast.. etc.... they have the same ribs and one hot item each week... we go to oakhurst for the buffet just because you get a much larger selection for the same price..

Like my last review a year or so ago of this place, nothing’s changed. Still the best eatery on Route 40. Food is great, atmosphere is warm and country, staff friendly! We eat there at minimum once a month. I recommend this place to travelers in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Highly recommend breakfast with a large 1.5 inch thick piece of ham, bone in. Fried eggs over medium and homemade toast drenched with butter. Take home a giant pie for only $10. Great customer service and reasonably priced.

A nice place up the mountain. Workers friendly and attentive. Food was just fair. My wife and I had fried cod. Fish was thin, breading was soft and easily off. Fries were hot. Cole slaw passable, not great. Rolls were nice size and tasty. There are a lot of baked goods there that I would've loved to try, but just too many carbs. All in all, on place to go. I would go back if ever in the area to give it another try

This is such a nice and little restaurant. Good prices and good service. I would recommend this to friends and family.

I would highly recommend this place. The food is over the top good, the buffet was extremely good with so much to choose from and dessert is included. The service was just as good.

Decent roadside diner with a bakery. The food is generally standard fare. Nothing really bad, just good. The dinner rolls are awesome, we always get some to take home. The salad bar while small is usually well stocked and fresh. Service is generally good and the staff are friendly. If your looking for some decent comfort food and don't feel like cooking, this is your place. Recommended. Oh and the pie...yum.

waited for over an hour for our food. Ordered special surf and turf with steak medium and prime rib special rare. Both arrived well done sent back. Now been extra 20 minutes waiting for steaks.

This place had horrible service/ food, we waited for our breakfast for over an hour, the manager came out and said our food would be right out, the food came out and our sausage was RAW, pink RAW, and the sausage gravy was cold, the hash browns were cold, the manager came out and showed no concern about fixing our meal, WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE or recommend to anybody to go!! Horrible service from front to back to Management

I am very pickey about my spaghetti sauce but Curt's nailed it, meatballs are delicious, ground beef steaks are moist and plentiful, salads and soup & salad bar are just great. Here is some of the menu..also specials change daily, don't forget to try and take home some rolls and pie! Menu prices due very usually less than what is on the menu.

Sunday has a hot bar &salad bar special. Its wonderful. The baked good are amazing The staff is friendly and the place is clean. We go a few times a year since we live about an hour away.

The fish dinner was excellent took cinnamon rolls home and loaf of their bread yummiest

Home cooked food is hard to find in Virginia, so coming back to Pennsylvania and eating here was a sweet find. Thank you Curt's for a delicious bowl of ham and bean soup. Apricot rolls to go. I'll be stopping on my way back home!

Old school family restaurant. Home made pies and bread.

I was traveling and I came across this little restaurant along rt 40. Let me tell you it was very good for very fair prices. The restaurant is very family friendly with good home cooked meals and a little game center for kids to play not much but something to kill the time. We had the buttermilk chicken and the deep fried shrimp very good will be coming back.

Our waitress was very nice. Our food came out quickly and was hot. My husband had a rueben sandwich and fries and I had a baked steak dinner. Both meals were very tasty. Very good good for the price. We will be back.

Best breakfast in a loooong while. Sparkling clean restaurant, great coffee, biscuits and gravy are outstanding. Super affordable.
